CCS Winter Class 2027: Theology of Psalms: "From the Depths"
The Center for Christian Studies will be offering a live six-week class, “Theology of Psalms: From the Depths,” on Monday evenings, February 1 through March 8, 2027, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM CST. This class is devoted to a deeper Christian understanding of the book of Psalms.

About the event
The Center for Christian Studies will be offering a live six-week class, “Theology of Psalms: From the Depths,” on Monday evenings, February 1 through March 8, 2027, at the Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ in Austin, Texas. The course will also be offered via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person! This class is devoted to a deeper Christian understanding of the book of Psalms.
How should we understand Psalms in its original context(s), and what does it mean for us today? How can the history of interpretation shed light on its meaning? How can Psalms be read theologically and Christologically? How can various theological, liturgical, and historical perspectives help? How may the church appropriate, apply, and practice the Psalms today? Engaging lectures will equip students for more competent reading, interpretation, and appreciation of Psalms, in order to live it and teach it to others.
